
The Lamoille County Nature Center is Community-based and is owned and operated by the Lamoille County Natural Resources Conservation District.
The District established the Nature Center in 1991 to expand its programs to meet the environmental education needs of the peopl e of Northern Vermont.
The Lamoille County Nature Center is a 40-acre preserve of diverse habitat. The Center offers two self guided nature trails, a pond, an amphitheater, a willow nursery, a council size Sioux tipi, and a wildflower garden.
The Nature Center provides a spectacular outdoor classroom setting. The unique diversity of habitats allows for investigation of a variety of plants and animals. The natural display of each season adds to the classroom atmosphere.
